TRAFFIC CONTROL FAQ’S
What is Traffic Control (Traffic Management)?
There are multiple roles available in the traffic management industry, ranging from controlling traffic with a stop-slow bat through to designing traffic plans and developing Traffic Management Plans. The aim of traffic control and traffic management is designed to keep site workers and traffic safe in and near worksites of all types. VicRoads issues Traffic Control cards in Victoria. These cards are mandatory for any worker conducting traffic control work on or adjacent to public roads in Victoria, and a penalty of $18,000 may apply to a business who directs a worker to undertake traffic control work without the required certification.
