This course is designed for those wishing to attain the Statement of Attainment currently recognised as a "First Aid Certificate". This course also incorporates the course requirements for the Statements of Attainments: 'Perform CPR' and 'Provide Basic Emergency Life Support". Current industry standard is for this course to be updated every 3 years with the CPR component being updated every 12 months.
Prerequisites-here are no pre-requisites for this unit competency.
StandardS - Once enrolled, you will be provided access to our online portal where you will be required to complete your online Multiple Choice Quiz. This online quiz should take you no more than 30 min - 3 hours. You will be required to bring the result sheet of your quiz showing 100% result (you will get learning resources and 3 attempts)
You will then be required to attend your practical training / assessment at the time and date booked for a presentation and practical demonstration to develop your skills and knowledge followed by theory and practical assessment.
Refresher - You will be required to attend your practical training / assessment at the time and date booked for a presentation and practical demonstration to develop your skills and knowledge followed by theory and practical assessment. You will need to bring the original copy of your current certificate or a certified copy.
Express Refresher - Once enrolled, you will be provided access to our online portal where you will be required to complete your online Multiple Choice Quiz. This online quiz should take you no more than 30 min - 3 hours. You will be required to bring the result sheet of your quiz showing 100% result (you will get learning resources and 3 attempts).
You will also be required to complete an online theory assessment (your responses are submitted online), you will be required to get a "Satisfactory" mark for this assessment, and you will be notified at the time of arriving at your course.
You will then be required to attend your practical training / assessment at the time and date booked for a presentation and practical demonstration to develop your skills and knowledge followed by theory and practical assessment.
If you do not get the required result then you will need to do a second night and pay a re-assessment fee -please refer to the terms and conditions on our website.

You may also arrange for this course to be held in your workplace, school, community centre, etc as long as the venue is suitable and there is a group of 8 or more. If you have a group of people who would like to arrange to undertake this course then our customer service team can send you a simple facility check list that will help us assess if the location is suitable for training. Just Careers Training can also arrange for training in other locations with sufficient notice and numbers. A fee will be determined based on your requirements.

Standard and Express Refresher - Your multiple choice result sheet(s) (must be printed once you complete your online quiz)
Refresher and Express Refresher Course - Your current Certificate (original or certified copy)
Your Identification - at least 1 photo ID which contains your current Name, Address, DOB, Photo and Signature

This Course covers the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty.
It applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
